題目:SIP-based Handover Schemes for IMS Service Continuity 主講人:江為國副教授 (國立中正大學資工系副教授) 時間:102年12月4日(星期三13:30-15:30) 地點:三峽校區文學院文1F11教室 摘要: The IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) has been selected as a telecommunication industrial standard to be responsible for the signal processing of the IP-based multimedia services in the next generation network (NGN). In addition, session initiation protocol (SIP) has been accepted as the signaling standard by 3GPP and is capable of providing mobility support in IMS. However, the mobility of the moving user equipment (UE) may disrupt or even intermittently disconnect an ongoing real-time session, which heavily affects the satisfaction of the users. Therefore, the issue of how to reduce the handover delay gets more and more important. We propose two SIP-based handover schemes for IMS service continuity: Centralized service continuity (CSC) and decentralized service continuity (DSC). CSC treats the handover as a service in the IMS network. Its conceptual architecture and operation are based on service invocation. DSC is also proposed to improve the efficiency of the handover process from the aspects of load distribution. Analytical results show that both schemes could shorten the handover latency significantly and reduce power consumption, as compared with the standard IMS-based service continuity. |
