大綱：
Android has been one of the most popular operating systems for the
mobile devices. Android permission system can inform users about using
some API but cannot protect user from suffering vulnerabilities. In
this talk, we will review some malware analysis approaches and then
discuss the approaches using API calls, permissions, and selected
features. Then, some results of using SVM as a classifier and decision
models are presented.
Bio:
Sheng-De Wang was born in Taiwan in 1957. He received the B.S. degree
from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1980, and the
M. S. and the Ph. D. degrees in electrical engineering from National
Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1982 and 1986, respectively.
Since 1986 he has been on the faculty of the department of electrical
engineering at National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, where he is
currently a professor. From 1995 to 2001, he also served as the
director of computer operating group of computer and information
network center, National Taiwan University. He was a visiting scholar
in Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Washington,
Seattle during the academic year of 1998-1999. From 2001 to 2003, He
has been served as the Department Chair of Department of Electrical
Engineering, National Chi Nan University, Puli, Taiwan. His research
interests include embedded systems, reconfigurable computing, and
intelligent systems.
Dr. Wang is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and
IEEE computer societies. He is also a member of Phi Tau Phi Honor
society.
