Driven by the applications and powerful digital signal processors (DSPs), the advance of the CMOS technologies enables some new architectures, such as successive approximation register (SAR). In this tutorial, I will review some fundamental ADC architectures and talk about the modern design approaches. Then, several silicon-proven design cases would be presented to prove its feasibility. |
